Free Software and Open Source - these are the topics of FrOSCon (Free and Open Source Software Conference). This year at August 23rd and 24th the computer science department of the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, supported by the "Linux/Unix User Group Sankt Augustin" (LUUSA) and FrOSCon e.V. will organize an exciting program with talks and workshops for visitors of all ages. The event is topped off with a fair of booths from FLOSS projects and companies. The social event, celebrated at Saturday night, offers the opportunity to exchange opinions with other visitors, speakers or volunteers.


This year's FrOSCon also repeats its successful youth programme (FrogLabs), adding to it quite a few new ideas to be discovered by young attendees. Besides the well-known game programming and robot building tutorials, first time this year children and teenage visitors get a chance to learn about creating their own 3D animations and minigames.

The FrogLabs, which are the youth programme of FrOSCon, will come together for a journey to Chemnitz. Join our field trip to the Chemnitz Linux Days with many new and exciting workshops and an overnight stay!
