Summary
On 24th and 25th of June, 2006 the FrOSCon e.V., the Linux/Unix Usergroup Sankt Augustin and the departement of computer science arranged the first Free and open source software conference at the Fachhochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg in Sankt Augustin, close to Bonn.
Approximately 700 participants visited the conference consisting of more than 60 lectures and 5 Workshops.
Additionally some open source projects such as Debian, the German Zope Community and the PHP project presented themselves in developer rooms with their own program.
Additional highlights of this event besides the conference part were an exhibition of sponsors and free projects, the public view of a WM soccer game as well as a Social Event on Saturday evening.
