FrOSCon 5 - August 21st/22nd, 2010

Free Software and Open Source – these are the topics of FrOSCon (Free and Open Source Software Conference). The computer science department of the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, supported by LUUSA and FrOSCon e.V. are yearly presenting an exciting programm with talks, workshops and an exhibition the third weekend in August. The social event, that takes place saturday night gives you the opportunity to exchange opinions with other visitors, speakers or volunteers. 2010 the fifth conference will take place on August, 21st and 22nd.

OpenSQL Camp Room at FrOSCon 2009

Two days of lectures about free DBMSs in a dedicated room.

One of this year's developer rooms will feature a separate subconference around the topic of open source databases and related technologies. The OpenSQL Camp" will be organized by Lenz Grimmer and other volunteers, the Call for Papers ends on July, 19th.

Talk proposals in English or German should be submitted via the FrOSCon conference organization system at cfp.froscon.org. The organizers are looking for talk submissions related to open source databases, starting with introductions to a certain project for beginners, "best practice" advice for administrators to deeply technical sessions about some project's internals or APIs for developers. Any submission is welcome!
